After completing a degree in Composition and gaining valuable international experience, notably in Boston and Los Angeles, Mattia De Luca turned his passion for art into a profession upon his return to Italy. In 2018, alongside Sergio Casoli, he inaugurated his first gallery, which would become the Galleria Mattia De Luca two years later.

The Galleria specializes in significant works by great masters of the twentieth century belonging to an established artistic historiography. With a rich program of exhibitions, publications and projects, the Galleria Mattia De Luca maintains an international and innovative identity within the traditional context of Rome’s historic center.

With the DL projects, the Galleria Mattia De Luca opens an autonomous and experimental path of reconnaissance on the contemporary art scene that joins the now consolidated commitment to the great names of the Italian and international 20th century art.

In this way, the gallery is opening up its spaces to artists, who are invited to show their studies in a completely free and open manner: an off project inspired by the idea of exploring works of art that, by acting on today’s world, can help us understand it better. The project is a further commitment by Galleria Mattia De Luca in areas with no purely commercial aims, providing resources and know-how for cultural initiatives linked to public projects, for the organization of cultural events and for the support of curatorial research.
